Some hobgoblin smiths can modify a halberd to make it suitable for the use of their smaller kin. Such halberds, called a horsechopper, lose the Heavy property. A wielder must both be proficient with halberds and be small in order to gain a proficiency bonus by wielding a horsechopper.
